Bought this to lay a nice clean bead on my valve and timing covers. First tube I sliced open while sliding into the keeper. Second tube the roll pulled free, third tube just split in half. Needless to say I had a huge mess on my hands and three wasted tubes of RTV. Not sure if I was doing something wrong, I bought 3 tubes of defective RTV or the product is bad.
The tool itself is a great concept, one that is much needed for technicians

Nothing against the seller, they shipped fast and sold at a fair price. The tool itself is a great concept, one that is much needed for technicians. The problem is, is that it pinches the tube so tight that the pressure applied (thru trigger) to overcome the "viscosity" of RTV usually rips the bottom of the tube off after a couple of pulls. Wasted tube of RTV and disappointment in what would otherwise be a great tool helping the tech do a better/ professional job. Back to the drawing board....

Well made sturdy product, I have only used it once with a nonstandard product but it still performed as needed. I can tell already it will help me a lot when it comes to using RTV silicone products at work and at home. Definitely a good choice if you use silicone products on a regular basis.

I really got tired of squeezing those silicone tubes. I know everyone knows the feeling and frustration of trying to get the perfect bead set while squeezing the metal tube. How you can fully use the whole tube and how it can pop if you do it the wrong way. Purchasing this has made my life so much easier and the use of the whole tube a money saver. This is definitely worth the buy!
