Do not purchase this if you will be going outside. this is for warm-weather indoor parties. It will Do The Trick. Accessories are nice but the main garment material is sheer AF and very cheap (I mean, c'mon - it's a 30 dollar costume, YGWYPF). Having said that, it's exactly what it says on the tin and isn't bad at all for all that. Just...wear thermals if you're not staying inside or uh...get something more expensive. Because this bij is SHEER. Like, almost Victoria's Secret sheer. Like your SO is trying to seduce you but you're staying with friends sheer.

We used the main garment of this for a Gandalf costume, which worked great. We ordered an XL for my 6'3", 160lb teenage son. The rope cinched in the extra room at the waist just fine, and the length made it to his ankles, which is what we were most worried about. My only complaint is that the fabric is utterly synthetic feeling, so it's not the comfiest. I can see this being used as a base for lots of costumes aside from "monk"!

The material IS NOT the silky crap material normally used in costumes.

Think of your graduation robe"¦or church choir robe"¦it's that style material.

It came with: robe, hood shoulder part (which I was looking at buying separate before buying the robe), actual rope belt (think of the type of rope used for tieing back curtains), and wooden cross on neck rope.

The only issue I have with it that I don't like"¦it is sewn as a tube at the bottom, so I cannot take fully extended steps without the material stopping my legs"¦I can take about 3/4 of a full step ( hope that makes sense).

Would buy this again"¦just don't buy a white one, unless you want to look like a Klan member.

I'm 6'2" 220lbs. Got the XL. Fits great. I have very broad shoulders but this fit over them nicely. For the price, this is unbeatable!
