Water 3 times a day. It works!
David N. Jorn✓ Verified Purchase•November 6, 2017
I set my sprinkler system to water three times a day, every day. Only on the zone that I was using this patch. I set it to run for 3 minutes every time it ran. This stuff needs to remain wet in order to grow properly. I have used this stuff over the years and it never worked properly. This time, it worked great while keeping it wet. I just switched to watering twice a day and it is still growing. It is actually growing faster than my other grass. I will update this if it dies or something changes but I think I figured this stuff out.
This product is junk! 90% of what you're going ...

This product is junk! 90% of what you're going to see in your yard are weeds! Then you have to spend more time and money to get rid of the weeds and buy more grass seed from a reliable company that actually grows grass instead of weeds!
I was pleased to find the new grass had survived

After dispersing this seed generously in some bald spots, I was religious about keeping the seed/mulch damp. For me, this meant driving home on my lunch break. The seed sprouted within the time frame designated, and seemed thin at first. I then ran into an early winter, and worried that the grass didn't have time to fully take root before the ground froze. It sat under snow most of the winter. In the spring, I was pleased to find the new grass had survived. It was definitely a little thin, but after a summer of watering, the bald areas have completely filled in, and look great. There was one small area where I dispersed the seed too thinly, as I didn't purchase enough. It struggled a little, but also came around by the end of the summer. Good mix- just follow the directions.
Awesome product

Incredible product. We have a lot of spots from our dogs urine and poop and this fills in perfectly. This large spot was a large area where the grass just died on us. The first picture is from August 3rd when I dug it up. The other one is from today August 11th. I would water it in the morning before work very generously where I saw water start to build up on top of the soil then I would stop. I would use it in small spots and it worked great. I was sceptical to use it in such a large area but it worked wonders. Keep it watered and it'll grow just as needed. It is obviously new grass so it will be different than what is in your current yard.
Less Than Ideal Results

I was more than thoroughly disappointed with the results of my EZ Seed purchase. While I wasn't expecting miracles, I was expecting grass...which failed to manifest.
Yes, I did very closely follow the directions as outlined on the packaging and, at best, of the area covered, I saw grass on perhaps 10%, if that much.
