More blades means a better shave. I've been using the disposable razors with six blades (also Dorco), and love them because they last a long time and they do a good job. This shaver has seven blades. It's the first non-disposable razor I've bought in years, and when I used it today, I liked the fact that it is a little heavier. It feels substantial in my hand, but it did a good job and did not nick me anywhere. That is exactly what I was hoping for. I think it is a step up from a razor that was already great. When I read the reviews, some people said they had a hard time with the button used to change cartridges. I can't speak to that because I haven't had the razor long enough, but I am going to keep an eye on that. I might change my rating later if it proves to be a problem.

Had high hopes, but the 7 blades did not perform well. Left me with a less than close shave and razor burn. I used the full pack, but immediately ordered the 6 blades after, and was back in bisinsss with the quality shave I expect. Please don't discontinue the 6 Blades! The new 7 blade design is no good.

Although I've only used one cartridge, I am extremely pleased with this razor. Although many expressed concerns that the 7 blades "clog", I did not have this experience. Yes, it must be rinsed during the shaving process, but that is normal for any multi-blade razor. The new design of the blade is "thinner" (in both width and "depth") and even more streamlined-it makes shaving easier, especially around areas like underneath the nose. Overall, I am extremely pleased.
The unit was deficient in that that the button that you push to discard/replace a shaving blade desintegrated and became useless. The unit was not built well

Prefer the 6-bladed unit. Again, the handle is deficient and thus am unable to use the Dorco Pace 7 at all.

I highly recommend these Dorco Pace 7 - World's First and Only Seven Blade Razor on the market. I decided to try these since they were a GOLD Box Deal on Amazon. Now, I use them all the time and will continue to do so. They are a great price and give a close, clean shave. I am a man and shave my entire body. These razors do a great job and I get several uses out of each cartridge because there are 7 blades in each cartridge. I love this set and I highly recommend because you get the Razor and Cartridges in this set. I would have not tried this an stuck to the Gillette Brand, but these razor have 7 blades and are high quality at a great price and thanks to Gold Box Deal, I now continue to use them.
