At last, a swatter that will take "heavy duty" use! Outside of swinging the swatter so violently that you bend the hardened wire handle, this seems like it should last indefinitely. There is enough "mass" in the leather head to totally obliterate a fly. Tip: use the smooth leather side to strike with...clean-up with a damp paper towel will be way more difficult with the rough side. Watch out for the rivet in the swatter...it would be possible to dent a finely-finished wood surface with it. This is easily the best fly swatter that I've ever owned. Flies will never know what hit them!

This swatter is awesome! The whole thing has a very nice limber balanced feel to it. The handle is good spring steel. There was no bending out of commission on my practice swat....the handle flexed right back like it should. I'm not new to the fine art of swatting, when I swat I mean it! The leather swat head appears well made, sewn and riveted. The leather feels conditioned and has good flexibility. I've read other reviews suggesting to swat with the smooth side down to help with easy cleaning, good pointer. I'm finally done searching for a really good dependable flyswatter. I think these would make a good practical and useful gift too.

Living next to the country I have an ongoing pest problem, not just flies. Bug bombs, fly traps, fly swatters, I've tried them all with disappointing results. But this fly swatter comes the closest to the ultimate destroyer for anything that flies, creeps or crawls, not just flies. Not sure if it will work on mice, but my vote is on this "pest swatter". Hint: get some leather conditioner and condition this, and your grandchildren will still be eradicating creatures with it.

Seems like a really solid fly swatter, but I really haven't been able to hit much with it. That's due to 2 issues: 1. The flies have suddenly stopped visiting (maybe they saw this thing hanging on the wall lol) and 2. I think my technique is off a bit. However, with a little practice (when those buggers show up), I'm guessing this thing will be lethal!
