these are amazing! so well built! i can tell they will last forever!

good product, very well constructed. Be careful though, these trowels are sharp wear gloves when using other hand to move dirt while you scoop. And, watch for irrigation tubes running to your plants. These guys can cut them initially. Eventually they will loose their edge a bit. I think these tools are going to last a long time.

Great gift for my mother-in-law who likes to garden.

The tools themselves seem like they're of very high quality. Purchased by themselves I would have likely given them 5 stars each. Unfortunately, the gift set packaging didn't end up being worth the additional cost. For starters, the tools were in the box upside-down, as in when you open the cover the handles pointed up. Not a big deal, I simply removed the insert that holds the tools and flipped it 180 degrees. But then I noticed the insert was ripped where it held one of the tools, meaning that it could clang around and hit the tool next to it when it was in shipping. The box was nicked up and scuffed where the loose tool was free to move. Also, in case you didn't notice in the picture, it's just cardboard. Not even the thin, rigid, premium stuff, just plain old cardboard. The box isn't a deal-breaker, but considering the additional cost, a presentation box like this should at least be in tact and properly assembled.

Luckily the tools are very attractive, and have a solid feel. This is a gift for an eco-conscious relative who will appreciate that the wood handles come from FSC certified forests. I'm sure she'll love it, I just wish the box was nicer.
