I gave this one star because the idea is good and I'm happy with the strap..... other than that I'm honestly really surprised by all the good reviews!! First off when I opened the box everything inside smelled absolutely awful, I had to air the mat out for 3 days and wash the towels. After the 3 days of airing out my mat still doesn't lay down, the ends are curled up a lot and have tripped me up a few times. The thickness is good for laying on your back and that's about it, ANY SINGLE POSE that requires even an ounce of balance is practically impossible, the thickness makes you look a baby giraffe trying to stand up for the first time ever, I have actually flat out fallen over 3 times just attempting to see if it was possible to do a simple tree pose on this thing. The blinks seem to be a very odd size to me, they are too small to actually make much use of & speaking of small the narrowness of this mat makes you have to completely turn your body to the side to do many poses that require you to spread out your knees, feet or hands, and then when you do spread your feet out length wise on the mat the entire thing stretches out and you can't even manage to be still because it just slowly stretches and slides across the floor more and more and more. The towels are awful, some people might like them but the texture makes them stick to any little dry spots you might have on your hands or feet. Honestly if you are looking out for a starter set your money would be better off spent elsewhere, unless you are someone who does a lot of yoga and you know you specifically need this mat for something....like corpse pose maybe.... then I would steer clear. I'm very disappointed I wasted $40 on this set because now I need a mat I can actually use!!

This is a great product! The foam yoga mat puts less stress on your wrists and makes it comfortable to lie on your back. Also, the blocks and the yoga strap give you the ability to push yourself further or relieve stress on certain areas of the body. As for the towels, I haven't used them but they are nice and soft and people have suggested that you can put them underneath your butt to lift up your hips and create a better posture. The only downside to this product is that since the yoga mat is foam, indentions in the foam can be made very easily. Overall, I enjoy using this product and I highly suggest buying it.

Everything is of really nice quality except the mat.
The mat is very comfortable. I like the thickness because its easy on my joints in practice,
but unfortunately makes A LOT of noise when I'm trying to change positions, which is disruptive during group practice. What's worse is it slides too much, which it shouldn't do. I decided I cannot use this in group classes and just use at home for stretching and planks.

This is exactly as I expected! Great product to jump start your Yoga practice. I was watching the prices for a mat and this seller had the best price. Mat is very long, now I can stop slipping when I practice in a carpeted room. Blocks are great to assist in new poses that I haven't progresses to yet. Towels are soft and machine wash well. Have been using a towel instead of a strap, but it was a great bonus to this complete package.Definitely recommend this product.

Update: after using this mat, I realize that it is too thick for standing, balance poses. I am new to yoga practice and thought thicker meant better, but after several weeks of use I have new insight. This mat is great for laying poses, core work. Has helped me progress on boat pose. Kneeling poses are supported and do not hurt my knees either.

I will be purchasing another mat for standing, balancing poses. Now I have to come off the matt and stand on the floor for these. Also, the mat stretches out during lunges and downward dog poses. I do not slip, but it is annoying to see the mat moving during the practice.

Yes, as other reviewers have stated, the mat does mark up easily (especially when my dogs practice with me!) but does not affect the use. The smell is not offensive.

Glad to have the strap and blocks to aid in mastering some challenging poses. Still recommend this product, but consideration to yoga goals should be considered when purchasing this set.

I've used it daily for half a year, and I can write a review now. Overall it satisfies me, thick and soft, good to go with yoga or other workouts.
Some improvements they can provide though:
1. The logo print fall off and I have to clean the white particulates from mat and floor after use.
2. It slips a little bit when I use it on hardwood floor doing yoga. But I have to admit that it's much better than my previous one.
3. I don't like the feel of towels, I do use it for workouts auxiliary, but not for swipes.
4. Smell. It has a bad smell to me at the very beginning when I sniff very very closely. But my husband said he can't smell it. I know I'm sensible to the smells so I put it up for about 3 weeks until it went out. It happens every time when I buy a new mat. Hope a good company can really deal with it.
5. Lastly, be careful not scratching it. Mine has a damage which was committed by my nails? I don't know.
