I'm a fan. This is a solid product, and I wouldn't be deterred by some of the negative reviews. I've used the lock for about a month now, and it's easy, easy, easy to use. The ONLY warning I have for people is that yes this lock hard to break but it is also ridiculously heavy so don't think you're going to put this on a carbon fiber bike. You'll cancel out the benefits of having such a light weight bike. Otherwise, a good choice.

Had this lock less than 3 weeks and it has already prevented my bike from being stolen. Bolt cutters only put a small dent in the lock. The thief tried their best to drill out the side of the lock too.
The lock is a bit heavy, but when you have the security of 16mm steel it's worth the little bit of extra weight. It hangs well down from my top tube. I have a Diamondback, so the top tube isn't a round shape - it still holds well. The bracket is plastic feeling, but seems to be relatively well built as well. Overall very happy with the purchase, especially since I still have my bike!!

Came back to the rack in the locked apartment garage to find the thief had drilled out and/or forced the lock which released the U. And then cut the cable. I would have liked this lock and cable to put up a bit more resistance. Definitely overrated.

Tremendous bike lock compared to my previous one (Masterlock U-Lock). I'm a new cyclist and the previous lock was just something I picked up at the same time when I purchased my first bike. I never thought the brand of lock would matter too much, but it's like night and day. The Sigtuna lock comes in a sleep package with detailed instructions. The mount is incredibly easy to install and has been very sturdy so far. I don't think I've had any issues with theft, but I'll post an update if any sort of attempt is made.
