I've had 3 previous heated garages. I replaced a one year old 30k btu infra Red heater with this 18k. The other unit was thermostatically controlled. When on, it ran 30k to set heat level and shut off. This unit has 3 manual settings. One for each of the 6k sections. Set on the lowest 6k only, this unit heats my 3 car insulated garage to the low 50s which does exactly what I want it to do. Plus is, running at 6k all the time produces way less humidity in our garage which is a huge plus. This is a very goo simple unit.

there is NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION on this product before you buy it. you MUST have at least a 100lb propane cylinder for the propane style because of the demand for a higher vaporization rate than a 20lb or even 40lb cylinder can provide. Here is a list of what I had to purchase to get it to work that SHOULD have been mentioned somewhere on the item description.
