Works like a dream. My wife was always cold downstairs, no longer. Easy to operate, but you should (must) have a professional install it--this is not a safe do-it-yourself project. Unfortunately. it does not fit into our downstairs fireplace; it sits on the brick plateau in front and looks okay. I hunted for an gas emergency heater that would fit into the fireplace--no luck; this was the best appearing that I managed to find. BE CAREFUL to order the appropriate gas or the propane based unit; it's easy to confuse the two.
