When my son was born I received this, boudreaux butt paste, and desitin. Needless to say, I have stuck to the A&D ointment.
My son is now almost 16 m and has never had a diaper rash!!! The closest we got was a slight 'hint' of redness and one application of A&D and it is gone. My use habits are: applying with most diaper changes and applying liberally. Also didn't let my son sit in wet diapers if we could help it. To be honest, I even applied it to drool rashes or teething rashes with complete resolution.
With the other two brands, it you don't mind white cream paste, they may work but I found them less forgiving when you get it everywhere...which tends to happen with a wiggling child. Even after wiping them, I could still see the white spread.
Overall, I have been very pleased with this product and the added zinc helped with the rashes.
