This is my new prized possession for silverware. Amazon has an amazing selection with different styles and tastes. You can zoom in and see exactly what it looks like.
1. Quality: The quality of steel is the best made. It is surprising that there are different levels, but after some research you can see the difference between cheap and quality silverware. This one has the highest grade. Moreover, the style and quality is obvious. It is truly Italian and something for special occasions.
2. Price: The price is perhaps high for a person looking to purchase regular silverware. But, for the special occasion, this is far cheaper than true Silver and it is a large set.
3. Box: I personally do not care the box as much as I hoped I would. I am currently using it and the arrangement inside is excellent to keep it organized and scratch free. But, the excessive red color of the wood shows an attenp to make a cheap box look expensive. A simpler polished wood color would have been excellent.
The box has a handle on it for carrying. Nice idea. If you try it to carry that way, the silverware will be thrown around in the box and you will have to arrange it again, possibly suffering scratches. You must carry the box flat. It is silly to have a handle with that design in mind.
4. Advertising:. The picture on Amazon shows a Soup Spoon. It does not come with the set not can I find it separately. That is disappointing. It's hardly a deal breaker for me.
5. Overall:. While you may want to purchase a different box to hold it, this set is something I do not regret. It is a taste of luxury for a decent price. Take your time to look through the designs and find one you like. You will not be disappointed.
