I really like the wide mouth one, the regular one I am having trouble with I think it's a learning curve. Overall it is working quite well.
Both sealers work great, I use it to keep coffee beans fresh ...

Both sealers work great, I use it to keep coffee beans fresh most often. I use if for mason jars after I have open them.
Great for storing dehydrated vegetables and mason jars.

I bought a 50lb bag of prime red potatoes. I dehydrated them in a dehydrator. Then place them in half gallon jars. I vacuum sealed jars. I was able to get all my potatoes in 10 jars that sealed with no problems. I did not need the hose attachment as the hose on my sealer connected directly to the lid. I haven't tried the standard just the wide mouth. I found it well worth the investment even though it was a little spendy.

THESE ARE GOOD, BUT THEY DO NOT WORK WITH THE HAND-HELD FOOD SAVER DEVICE. I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH THAT. HOWEVER, THEY WORK GREAT WITH MY LARGE COUNTER-TOP FOOD SAVER MACHINE.

I really like these gadgets. I could not use the tube with my foodsaver, but the foodsaver came with the correct tube. I did some stupid things until I figured out how to work everything & now I love vacuum sealing dry foods in jars.
