I HATE this lousy system. Don’t buy it.

I HATE this thing. I bought it from Costco and soooo regret my purchase. The user interface is soooo not intuitive. It's like something they designed in the 80s. The clarity of the cameras is ok but my problem is trying to search and download recorded footage. It's not nearly as simple as it seems or should be. We aren't even going to discuss remote monitoring. I used to travel weekly for work and could rarely keep the remote monitoring technology working properly. If you are considering this system... don't. Get something easy and more modern like a Nest cam. At least the associated software doesn't work like something that was created when Regan was in office.
Terrible Support - Look elsewhere

Ordered an NVR system and it worked great for 2 months before no longer connecting to the cameras. After 2 hours on the phone with tech support a replacement was authorized and supposedly sent out. It has been nearly 45 days, still no replacement. I was only able to contact tech support once during that time for an update as each call takes at least 45 minutes to connect to a representative. Terrible customer service/support - buy something else.

Lorex cameras are NOT built to last. I have owned many. While great at 1st, they usually last less than a year. BUYER BEWARE
Poor customer service

Lorex makes a great system, but their customer service SUCKS! I've had my system less than a year and the DVR power adapter went out. I contacted customer service to get it replaced and they were very helpful with the troubleshooting process, but that's where the niceties ended. Once we identified the issue they went into a never ending run around. I'm still trying to get them to honor the warranty. I should have listened to other consumer reviews that warned of their substandard customer service....
