I received the Garage Door rollers today in the mail. After reading thru a few of the negative reviews, I decided to test each roller, made sure it spun smoothly and were no defects. All rollers spun, no issues. Family moved into the house back in 98'-99', and I don't believe the garage door rollers were ever replaced. Wouldn't surprise me if they were original. The old rollers were steel, VERY worn, bearings completly shot, and made a LOT of noise.

Before replacing the rollers, I made sure to head over to Youtube and watch a few how-to-replace garage door rollers. I followed the directions given in the video, and replaced all 10 rollers with ease. Took me probably close to 20 min. The top rollers gave me a little trouble, having to be on a ladder and having to twist the rail to remove roller.

Once all new Nylon rollers were replaced, the difference in noise was amazing. It might not be as drastic for a lot of people, but the condition of the old steel rollers and how much noise they made, you could tell right away how quiet these Nylon rollers were.

What a difference a set of new rollers makes!

Got a quote for $200 in parts and labor per door for new rollers to replace the hard plastic squeaky ones that were likely 20+ years old! I picked up two sets of these for my garage and scoured YouTube for installation instructions. 30 minutes later the door was quieter than it has been in years.

Time will tell on their longevity, but after a few months they're still going strong.

Wow, amazing! They ARE ultra quiet. I replaced all 10 crappy worn out original wheels with these. Along with lubing all hinges, track, and spring, I now have the worlds quietest garage door. No more rattles, squeaks, or bangs when opening or closing. The opener motor runs smoother and more quiet as the double car door rolls so smooth. This is important as our master bedroom is above the garage!
Sort of Con - One wheel was not straight with the shaft. Manufacture flaw I guess. It doesn't seem to make any difference.
NOTE - Please research how to replace the wheels for safety sake!! Remember, there is a spring, and it's strong!

At first they seemed fine, maybe just the typical human response after replacing any other item that we're used hearing for 20+years made be believe that they were super quiet and such.

But after a month, I went to change the cables and the extension springs and also noticed that the roller were not spinning freely and seemed kind've stiff after removing a couple of them from the hinge to when giving a further inspection.

The price seems just shockingly low on these for how nice they are. I called a garage door repair place first and they quoted me $9 per roller replaced plus a minimum of $105 on labor. Whoa! Even if these aren't the best rollers money can buy, they sure seemed solid and are Nylon/ball bearing types that I was told to get. Husband and I installed them in about 30 minutes ourselves after watching a YouTube video. Compared to my old metal creeky rollers that have been on there for ages, these are a way quieter glide. We have a split garage door in our 2 car garage. I did my side of the garage as a test case because I actually had broken rollers to replace. Now I am back on line just an hour later to order another set because my husband just wants these installed on his garage door for the noise reductionl. Cuts the sound level about in half!!
