Light weight, modular so I can only take what I need. Transfers heat well. So far, I've boiled water (from room temp to cold water), fried bacon, fried eggs, cooked chicken, and then we stress tested the finish.... I cooked steel cut oatmeal. It did fine. Then, I burnt the same oatmeal. The finish stood up to what will ultimately be teenager cooking on short backpacking trips. The only things I've added to the kit is a small bottle of soap and a ziplock snack bag for the sponge and soap. All tests were conducted on a MSR Whisperlite, and an Ozark trail propane stove and did fine on both. Very happy with the MalloMe cookware kit, I hope to use it for the next few years!

thought it would be a nice gift, especially since it got good reviews and was an amazon deal of the day. the clincher was it said 'satisfaction guaranteed', so i thought i would try it. it did not live up to expectations, so i wanted to return it. there is a charge to do so. meanwhile i got an email from the maker of this product, so i thought i would ask what 'satisfaction guaranteed' means, and evidently it doesn't mean what you or i might think it means. the 1st email promises that they want to make you happy and would like to know what you think of their product. so i wrote back asking about the charge to return vs 'satisfaction guaranteed'. several days later i was told, sorry, no free returns. so BE CERTAIN you want items from this company because you will pay to send it back.

I just got this item. However, it is well built and just the right size for me to take backpacking. Compact and not too heavy. I look forward to many wonderful camping trips with my new cook kit!
Update: August 12, 2017: I have now had a chance to use my new cook kit, and was VERY pleased with it. The pot holds enough water to make 2 12 ounce cups of coffee and still have enough for some oatmeal too. It balances well on my compact "primus-clone" stove, and heated quickly. The fry pan is just slightly off balance with the handles extended until such time as there is some food in it. (One egg was enough to make it stable) but the surface was slick enough to not have the egg stick while cooking once just barely greased with a swipe from a stick of butter. The little paddle spoon/scraper cooking tool makes cooking easy and keeps the pans scratch free. The entire kit cleans up easily with the enclosed scrubber, which was actually a small disc shaped plastic scrubby as opposed to a loofa piece. I prefer this since that can be sterilized once home and used for a long time, loofas cannot. The included bowl/cups ARE small, but would be fine for sipping soup or eating smaller portions of a meal while the remainder keeps warm in the pot beside a campfire, and held my scrambled egg perfectly. In all, I am very happy with my new MalloMe Camping Cookware Kit with Folding Spork, Nylon Bag and E-Book. I would recommend it to any budget minded camper looking for some moderately lightweight cooking gear.

Fantastic value: easily portable and packable, everything fits together very nicely, is easy to clean, and easy to work with. I'd say the only improvement would be for the handles to be slightly more secure when they snap into place after being fully extended. As is, they feel a bit wobbly and so it's hard to confidently hold the pot if it's even half-filled with water or some other dense liquid.

I waited to review until we had some real-work usage with these sets (bought two for backpacking with my son). A+! Thank you for putting this set together and selling for a reasonable cost! I've posted pictures of fist and second backpacking trips using this set. Now for a little critique and/or suggestion: Cut about a quarter inch off the spatula handle so it will fit into the set without calling on God or cursing. Throw away to scrubber the set comes with and cut a typical kitchen scrubber sponge in half and place it in the set. Both of our supplied scrubbers started falling apart during the first trail-side use. All-in-all, with just a couple minor tweaks, this set is awesome!
