Great Juicer with a increased yeild of juice.

Great machine - Much better yield of juice than other juicers I've tried. It is a little more time consuming to clean, however, as their are more parts to clean but the quality of juice is better, so I don't mind the extra time to clean.
Superb quality juicer

So, I recently dove into juicing as I had a terrible eczema flare-up that has left me covered head to toe in a painful, anxiety-filling rash. I originally purchased the Omega NC800HDS, which was great, however the auger cracked within a few uses. As there aren't really any other comparable juicers in the price range, I decided to return that unit and splurge a bit more on this one instead.
This juicer is amazing. It has an amazingly high yield, especially for leafy greens. The juices I make normally consist of dandelion, broccoli, chard, celery, carrots, kale, spinach, ginger, turmeric, lemons, limes, apples, pears, beet root, parsley, cucumber, and others I cannot quite remember right now. It handles everything beautifully. If I had one complaint, it would be the amount of foam that forms whilst juicing. However, I believe this is dependent on making proper adjustments to the pressure knob while juicing. There's a bit of a learning curve, but you'll learn as you go along. Definitely not a deal breaker, especially because the strainer does its job well.
Regarding the time it takes to juice...Depending on how much juice you are making, this can be a very time consuming process. From start to finish, I normally take an hour and a half to make enough juice for 3-4 days. In my eyes, that's not so bad. Bear in mind that I have an abnormally small kitchen, and I am also factoring in washing and prepping all of the vegetables and fruit.
Cleaning isn't that bad at all. Everything comes apart easily, and the parts all wash quickly. The screen obviously takes a bit more time, but I have it clean in about 30 seconds. Other reviewers have discussed their techniques for quickly cleaning it.
All in all, this is a very high quality, well built and well designed juicer. I have an eye for the finer things in life (I'm not comfortable with myself for using that phrase, but eh), and this machine is beautiful. The gears are absolutely lovely, truly a work of great engineering. I genuinely love this thing. If you're thinking about making the purchase, I can tell you it will be a fantastic investment.

I have a GS-1000 and loved it also

This is the second Green Star I have purchased. I have a GS-1000 and loved it also. I decided to check the 5000 out due to the difficulty at times of pushing carrots through the chute. You definitely need arm strength for some of the hard vegetables. With the GS-5000, it is much easier to use. I don't know if it is from the gear change they made, but I have no problems at all with anything. I love this new machine. It is not difficult to clean or use. I make juice daily sometimes, or I make enough for three days, 32ounces/day. The juice is great and I can't say enough how wonderful and easy to use the
GS-5000. I did have a Norwalk back in the 70's and tried to use it, but just too messy and not easy to use. I finally gave it away. When I purchased my new Green Star, I actually went back and took another look at the Norwalk, but after watching the videos, I decided it hasn't changed much and if I purchased it I probably would not use it. So Gren Star was
my choice. The results of their nutrient testing of the juice was also a helpful deciding factor. Great juicer, nutrient dense juice and easy to use and clean. What more is there????

I love this juicer! I had my heart set on the Super Angel, but at more than twice the cost of the Green Star Elite it just wasn't in my budget. All the reviews said this was a very good alternative for a much better price and I have to say it is absolutely true. This machine extracts an incredible amount of juice from greens like kale and spinach, does a great job on hard vegetables and the ejected pulp is very dry. It works best if you alternate leafy greens and harder vegetables such as carrots and beets. It is fairly easy to clean, taking only a few minutes to disassemble and reassemble. It is well built, runs quietly and all of the instructions are clear and easy to understand. So far I haven't been able to get good results with fresh pineapple but I will be getting the soft fruit knob and see if that helps. I would recommend this product to anyone wjo is serious about juicing.
I have put this machine to the test with excellent results each time

Each person has their own expectations when purchasing any item. After much research, and identifying my maximum budget, the Tribest Green Star Elite GSE-5000 was my choice. I have put this machine to the test with excellent results each time. Leafy greens, celery, beets, carrots, apples, ginger, cucumbers, oranges and grapefruit are processed beautifully; the pulp is absolutely dry...and making deserts - frozen bananas, peaches, raspberries, absolutely delicious.
The cleanup, while some folks think this is time consuming, if you use cold water (just like the instructions say) when cleaning the screens, starting from the inside and then the out, using the brush included, it makes the process easy. Also, I just take the juicer to the side of the sink and use my sprayer. If you don't have a built in sprayer, just use a spray bottle and it gets those two small recessed areas at the base clean as a whistle. If for some reason you are in a hurry, just keep your screen submersed in cold water until you get back home that same day.
From my experience and for this price, this is the juicer I recommend hands down. I only juice for myself and 30 oz at a time; however, if I had a larger budget I would have invested in the Super Angel DELUXE Model with Soft Fruit Extracting Housing juicer. My friend has one of those and it is fabulous...the masticating gears are longer, which allow more juice to be made at one time without any type of back up. This is nice if you are juicing for more than one person at time.
I have no negatives about this juicer.
