Inexpensive, basic lanyards with ID holders that do the job.
Nylon strap is rugged. The clips at the top of the loops hold together very tightly although I do not find them to be of much use for my purposes. I suppose when put over a jacket it is easier to split the loop to remove the lanyard than to struggle with bringing the loop over one's head. The detachable clip is a good convenience factor as is the thumb clip holding the holder.
The holder is heavy duty and large enough to hold multiple credit card sized cards. The ziplock type seal is also tight. Best to check waterproof capabilities before submerging the holder.
