very difficult install in a slab concrete situation. The specialized proprietary hoses that screw into the cartridge (placed near on/off lever), extend several inches below where it mounts to the floor. This means in addition to being a nightmare to install, if anything goes wrong, the tile will have to be ripped up and the concrete demo to get to the connection. What a horrible design. I believe Delta and others have a plate that mounts to the floor and the fixture seals with the plate and mounts to the plate. You can change the faucet down the road on a delta without breaking up the floor. The fixture itself is very heavy and nice, but as the adage goes pay me now or pay me latter will definitely be the case some time in the future.
But I would recommend this item

Athough this seems to function well and quality control was done, I did have lots of problem feeding and tightening the hoses through the tube and down through the floor.. The hoses could be about an inch longer for ease of installation.. A special wrench(cheap) should be provide to tight hoses to the faucet.. Standard wrench to not fit this task well. I hope I got them tight enough... But I would recommend this item!
