I LOVE it! It took my husband and me around 3 hours to assemble. Use two people for assembly.
HINT: Use a piece of styrofoam to stick nails and screws into so you have them handy. They
gave us extra which was nice. Stick strictly to the instructions. We had to back peddle a few
times to fix our errors. It looks so nice once you have it assembled. LOVE IT!

Beautiful desk. However, I searched Amazon for "solid wood" computer desks. This is heavy particle board. So, if there should be any stress placed on the connection points, like moving it, it could fail more easily and readily than a solid wood piece. Also, the hardware pieces were not labeled clearly, which resulted in my using the wrong screws to assemble the hutch and they pushed through the top, ruining the finish and appearance of the desk. So, if you order this desk, make very sure you are using the correct screws for each step; there are a lot of them.

Very sturdy piece of furniture. It took two of us (both very experienced assemblers) about a day and a half to build the unit. The instructions were good, the parts well-labled, everything fit as it should. The reason it took so long is that we were building a quality desk, which is very obvious in the finished product. Each piece is joined tightly to the others, there are no short cuts and no cheap materials. Putting together something this nice and well engineered simply takes a little more time, but it's worth it.
I did purchase a matching keyboard shelf, which works very well (for those who still use desktop machines).
