Love this teriffic travel paint box!!

This is a wonderful little paint box; great for major travel or just throwing in my purse with a small sketchbook and waterbrush when out and about here in town. It is sturdy, well made and the thumb ring on the bottom is great. I removed the inner brackets in order to put 8 half pans, two full pans and two little squares of sponge. It is truly one of my favorite palettes. And the one I just purchased was a gift for an artist friend, I have had mine for nearly a year. A friend in my art group also has this same palette and loves it as well.

This tiny little watercolor box is absolute perfection. Slightly larger than a credit card, it tucks into almost any pocket in my bag or pencil case and allows me to carry my watercolors with me everywhere I go. Although intended for 8 half pans (it includes 8 half pans as well), I was able to squeeze an additional 4 halfpans into the middle section for a perfect mix of my favorite Daniel Smith and Schminke watercolors. By using that center section for paints, I do not have room there for a travel brush (My Escoda Reserva 1214 travel brushes do NOT fit, but the tiny travel brush that comes with the Winsor & Newton Cotman travel set does!) but that's all right by me. I'd rather have a few extra convenience colors in a small box like this, considering you are limited in mixing space.
Speaking of mixing space, the wells are nicely shaped, and as long as I plan a bit on what colors I'm using / in what order, I am totally happy with the size and shape of the box. Thanks Whiskey Painter!

Perfect Travel Box!

This tiny little watercolor box is absolute perfection. Excellent on the go Palette

Do I love this palette? Why yes, yes I do love this palette. I own two and will likely buy a third. I can over fill these palettes with 12 colors or I can under fill it with a limited palette depending on season or subject matter. If you intend to use the center isle for paint, I found that the Old Holland Half Pans or narrower pans fit in the center comfortably when inserting both guard rails.
It is highly portable and fits perfectly into the pocket of a pencil case I bought here on amazon Pencil Case, Homecube Big Capacity Pen Bag Makeup Pouch Durable Students Stationery With Double Zipper, Black. This is intended to be my official traveling art set that fits in my handbag.
The only possible con is the tiny mixing tray, but really that isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. You can plan out your painting and mixing according to your subject matter and it's easily cleanable with a paper towel to clear the way for the next color.
