Best wrist guards ever
Ryan Bamford✓ Verified Purchase•October 9, 2023
These wristguards are legit. I use them for skateboarding. I sprained my wrist severely about 5 weeks ago and wasn't able to skate for a few weeks and it was killing me. I skate street so I like to do a lot of flip tricks up and down stuff. Unfortunately landing primo is always a risk with flip tricks and every time I'd land primo I slam on the ground and my wrists take the impact. My wrist sprain was so bad I couldn't turn my car keys or open up doors for a week or so. Over a month later and I can still barely do a few pushups, when normally I can do at least 40 in a row.
I was previously using some 187 wristguards.. you know, the kind with the bent plastic spoon under your palm. It didn't seem to protect anything, if anything it just distributed all of the impact into one point on my wrist which probably hurt even more than if I was wearing nothing. I tried skating a couple weeks after spraining my wrist by duct taping an extra large shirt over a wristbrace to provide impact protection but even then every slam hurt like hell and immobilized my hand for a few minutes.
So I went looking online for the best possible wristguards money could buy and settled on these. Boy am I glad I did. These things are amazing. They're bulkier than most wristguards but it doesn't impair my ability to skate at all. I've slammed on my wrist many times already with these, usually a few times a session so probably like 15+ times a week I take a brutal slam on my wrist. I haven't felt a single one with these wrist guards. Because of that my confidence has jumped back up and I'm able to do the things I was able to before spraining my wrist with ease. I will never take these off while skating again.
They seem very durable. I have nothing bad to say about these wristguards. If you value your wrists, or have a tendency to brace your falls during extreme sports with your hands, you need to have these.

I had a wipeout on pavement with my EUC and these did their job. I got scraped up elsewhere, but these wrist guards 100% protected my wrists and hands which hit the ground first.
Great for inline skating

Great protection for wrists. Adjustability: could have used longer velcro fastenings. I sewed on extra velcro to enable me to remove without having to thread them completely through each time.
Much cheaper than a broken wrist

I have broken my wrist before, and these have almost certainly saved me from another broken wrist or two. What else is there to say?
you would be happy to pay 10 grand to go back in time and buy these

if you have ever broken your wrist than you know that you would be happy to pay 10 grand to go back in time and simply buy a great wrist guard. Well for me after 30 years of alternative sports I purchased a onewheel and broke my wrist 1 hour after purchase. a onewheel will nose dive if you push it to fast, but if no one tells you that you must learn on your own. long story short I came to buy three pairs of this wrist guard. I use the non skid pad version for bike and snowboard. I use these for onewheel. my advise is if you really love sports buy great pads and guards after a few hard falls on your wrist with these you will thank me. I know they cost a good amount but I have walked away laughing in wrecks that would have broken my wrist a 2nd time, and these guards are the reason.
