DOES NOTHING: Pressure Gauge Confirmed
bob✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 1, 2017
I tested the "35 PSI" model by using a water pressure gauge that I also bought from Amazon. My pressure gauge shows 80 PSI coming from my sink normally. At the output of this "35 PSI pressure regulator" the PSI was still 80 PSI. So it does not affect the pressure at all! Meanwhile, with a different pressure regulator that I already had (not from this vendor), it reads 50 PSI on my water pressure gauge. So the item shipped to me obviously does not work at all. It does not limit the pressure at all.
Fixed Our Whirlpool WRX988SIBM03 Fridge
Jason✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 21, 2017
Ever since day one of having our Whirlpool WRX988SIBM03 Fridge, the water out of the dispenser has been on/off turbulent, causing water to splash everywhere. It sounded almost like it had two speeds. We figured it was probably the filter being broken in, but 3 filters later, it kept right on doing it. My brother bought the same fridge, and had the exact same problem.

I decided to check the water pressure in the house, and while surprised to find it at 92psi, that's still well below the 120psi limit that is in the Whirlpool manual. I did some testing by turning on the sprinkler system and some facets around the house, until I was able to get the water out of the fridge in a steady, smooth flowing stream. I lowered the pressure in the house to roughly 82psi, and at this point, the water out of the dispenser was almost perfect. So rather than limit the pressure to 40psi, I bought the 70psi model, thinking another 12psi lower should do the job without limiting the flow of the water.

Upon installing it, I realized I had a braided cable to hook the fridge up, so I had to go to Lowe's and pick up a $10 1/4" PEX line so I could install this pressure regulator. I cut the new line with a razor blade about 16" from the fridge side, and installed the regulator with the arrow pointing towards the fridge, used the little blue clips that come with it, and then some of the existing tape to hold the regulator to the back of the fridge.

After getting everything installed, I tested it out by running enough water though to get the air out of the lines, and once that was done, the problem disappeared. I'm so glad this worked, and has gotten the dispenser working to where it's not a messy job to get a glass of water.

This was the perfect solution to regulate the supply water pressure to my refrigerator ice maker. Newer model ice makers have a digital controller for timing and are not adjustable. The incoming county water pressure made the ice maker overfill. This has solved the problem and saved me from replacing the refrigerator and making my wife very happy.
A good investment for iSpring system

I was beside myself when I realized the water pressure was way to high for the iSpring system I purchased and had half installed. I asked the Lord what am I going to do and so I started a search again and found exactly what was needed. This small inline water pressure regulator made for iSpring system. Whew
3 minute instal. Awesome product

Only took 3 minutes to install. I cut my water line for my ice maker, pushed the water line onto the regulator and put on the locking clips. DONE!
No more water hammering from my water dispenser or when the ice maker is refilling.
