Great calipers for the price! When I got them I was very pleased with their quality. the measurements were always spot on, they glide smoothly along the track, and feel of a higher quality in your hand. I love how they turn on automatically when you open the jaws. They have an attractive design that is different from most that have a somewhat decent appearance. At first I was unsure on this one because it lacked the finer measurements on the body, but they aren't really needed, long as it doesn't die on you. It also comes with a spare battery as well which is great, and a very nice case. Display is large and easy to read as well. Excellent product!

This thing is so precise and detailed, besides the quality it blows my mind. My dad had one, which he kept and used for decades. It's an antique piece and it falls apart, so I wanted to get him a new one, without knowing they had this electronic ones. I was amazed and did not care how much it cost. You should have seen his face. I'm not sure if he knew these existed at all, I never asked. All I know is that he loves it, appreciates the digital feature (he's losing his sight) and even though he likes his old tools and does not ever give up on them, he's wowed by this one and will be able to retire his old one for good.

I needed 12" calipers that weren't too spendy and these fit the bill. I didn't really need the DRO as I am used to dial calipers, but after using these calipers I'm liking this DRO and its ability to toggle between inches, fractional inches and millimeters. One of the buttons is an On/Off button, but I found that the DRO turns on automatically when the jaws are opened. The calipers seemed a little dry out of the box. After a good wipedown and a drop of oil in the thumb wheel pivot, the feel of the movement is excellent.
The box that comes with it is commendable for the thoughtfulness put into its design. It does more than just provide a case to protect the instrument when it is not in use. It has a long well molded inside which is useful as a steady rest for parts being measured, very helpful when using long calipers such as these.
Assuming the DRO lasts (why wouldn't it?) this is a lot of bang for the buck. I like it.

I'm a tool guy with many years of experience in machine shops. I give these 5 stars for price and accuracy. So if you're just getting these for tolerances of basic machining or woodworking you have found a great set. If you are starting a new job as a machinist and you get these as your only set, well people may question your abilities. Now I'm not knocking these by any means I have run them through the paces and found them to be of really good quality and hey I bought them and I'm keeping them! I've uses a few gauges (I only pictured one) and every time it zeroed and worked flawlessly. MY purchase for the 12" is for woodworking. I have a few really nice name brand sets for machining and needed these for the dirty work. extra button batteries are a huge plus. As always don't ever drop any callipers and always check them for accuracy before starting a project.

This caliper comes in a hard plastic storage case with a color outer sleeve for retail packaging. Inside the case is the caliper, a battery and instructions. I tested this and it reliably goes back to 0 no matter the speed/pressure I put on them. This has a solid feel, but it is not too heavy. If you are looking for tiny calipers, these may not be it, so please look at the item description for the overall measurements.
