i love this bag but it's not really great for using in high school there just not enough space it's also kinda flimsy i think it better for casual things.

I LOVE this bag. I was surprised at how sturdy it is. I put three full binders, two water bottles, a graphing calculator, a kindle, a bunch of pens, some Tupperware full of almonds, an academic planner, and a small makeup case in it and it handled it like a champ (my back didn't like the load but that's neither here nor there).
I have to say that I'm super grateful for the shoulder pad which I didn't think I'd be using.
I know a lot of people didn't like the Velcro or the placement of the short handle in the back but both work fine for me. When you have this style of bag you're pretty much going to have the weight distribution problem and just have to compensate for it is all. Maybe I'm just used to that. The Velcro does stick to your clothes if you're not careful sometimes which is usually why I try not to buy bags with it. The shorter handle has been incredibly helpful when getting in and out of my car so I'm happy it's there. And like everyone has said the pockets are perfect and the front pockets fit my old kindle nicely.
I don't particularly care for the fabric feel and style but it is sooooo sturdy! Color is as advertised and it is nice and big (obviously considering the load I packed in it)
The company sent a few emails as well asking if there was anything they could do for me which was nice, however the wording on the last one kind of felt like badgering me to write a review so just a word of note fellas.
At first I didn't want to spend 20$ on a CANVAS bag but I'm not disappointed with this at all and I'm glad i bought it.

I bought this for my teenage son at his request for a messenger bag rather than a back pack for school. He LOVES it!!

It is relatively large and has room for all his books, notebooks etc. He has max of 3 classes on any one day so he's not trying to carry 6 or 7 classes worth of material but many reviews of other bags made them sound small and this one is not.

It is made of canvas and seems pretty sturdy. We'll see how it holds up to a teen's beating for months on end. We've only had it about 2-3 weeks as of this review.

So why 1 star off? I was thinking/hoping for something with a little more structure. This seems to be more a sturdy canvas bag. If I were using it, I think it's "flopiness" might be undesirable. But, as I mentioned above, my son loves it and it's flopiness doesn't bother him in the least.

The bag was what I was looking for and more. It looks nice, has plenty of room for my needs, plus extra pockets and a small zip pocket that were pleasant surprises.

Though I have not used it to date for its intended purpose, I am already pleased and looking forward to using it. In the unlikely event that I find something I DON'T like, I will update here.

Cover flap should have a smooth edge so that water runs off. Instead it's caught by a piece of edging. The size of the bag when flattened is useless information and misleading.
