Look great but questionable quality. One shaker's wooden cap has completely worn down and doesn't grip the black grinder underneath (which is what makes the grinder work). I'll have to super glue it back to the top so it stays. The other grinder, has a small white plastic piece that has come off making me think that over time, more white plastic (which can be easily confused with salt), will shave off and enter my food. Super sad because there just doesn't seem to be long term value to these.

LOOOOOVE these salt and pepper grinders. We've had them for several months now and they've held up great. The bottoms are glass and the tops are smooth, natural wood. They look very fresh and clean sitting out on our kitchen countertops. They're also really easy to use as the design is ergonomic and the size is nice because they're not too dainty. I prefer having pieces like this that are functional and look nice so that I can just keep them out and in easy arms reach.

Fantastic! These grind much more smoothly than I expected for the price. They are easy to refill, and I love being able to put them down without leaving a little puddle of ground pepper on the table. The tops look a little bit more orange in person than it does in the photo, but are still a nice wood tone. Real glass. (I looked for a long time to find a mill set that had both wood elements and the ability to view the salt & pepper, and love the look.) I don't find an obvious difference in the grinding size options, but that isn't something I'm particularly aiming for, so not being able to adjust the size isn't a big deal to me. They checked off all the things that were a big deal to me, and, for the price, exceeded my expectations for quality/durability. Would recommend to any but the pickiest chef's to whom adjustable grinding is essential.

Thought these looked great and they do I guess.....but operation is not as great....was grinding salt the other day, just after having these for week or two and hardly using them....and NO SALT...then my wife pulled off the wooden top....I asked how she did that because I did not think they should separate that way....and I was right...since the wooden top was loose, it did not turn the inner spool to grind the salt. I thought that I should have got the metal ones, but then, would they really last for a long time too. ???...(couple of weeks pass)
After reviewing my notes above, Willow & Everett agreed to send me replacements, which I am very happy about because I really like the looks of these grinders and they work very easily (remembering to turn them in the same direction all of the time). Hope that the new ones will hold up & I have a longer use of them....W&E, thank you again!!!

Will CORRODE with Salt!!

These shakers are not constructed with stainless steel or other non-corrosive metal. The salt will mix with the moisture in the air and create heavy corrosion and eventually fail. We used both of ours for salt (in two different homes) and both have corroded to the point of failure. Disappointed in this product.
