For one with a first hip replacement, this kit was perfect. It will be useful again with a knee replacement next year. The reacher is the most useful of the package -- it is easy to use and light-weight - but strong enough to help with dressing and picking up things one tends to drop, but can't bend over. I see uses of this set of 'tools' in normal everyday activities, outside of a recuperating environment.

I really need dressing assistance after recent hip replacement surgery. Neither the sock nor the dressing stick is convenient or even understandable. The kit comes with no instructions. The grabber is clumsy and not nearly as convenient to use as the grabber I already have, and it would have been nice to have an additional one to keep in a different part of the house. I suppose I will just order another grabber of the kind that has been useful for the past week. The long handled sponge might be useful if one liked the feel of cheap foam rubber in the shower, and when I am able to shower maybe I will use it once. It is nice to see a made in the USA label but that does not make it a good product. It is a cheap looking, cheap feeling product that is priced at more than it would seem to be worth.

I have my surgery tomorrow morning so I haven't pot the sponge reacher tool to use much but the the reacher , gripper and shoe horn are great. The shock tool is great. Wish I had one of them 3 years ago . The products are top notch. I am not that old so from what I can tell these items will ultimately cost only a dollar a year over their lifetime , maybe less.
If you have arthritis in your hips or lower, even in your hands these tools are worth every penny. They may not be something you think of as giving as a present but I suggest if you have a family member friend or know an old veteran but this for them even if they are not ready for surgery, the sock tool alone is worth it

I recently broke my femur and learned of your product through my occupational therapy while I was in rehab. What an absolutely terrific set of tools to help me get dressed and do other tasks independently. I would highly recommend anyone who has the bad luck of an accident or an intentional hip replacement or maybe a knee surgery as well? The price was very fair. I am so pleased i learned about this set.

The order shipped faster than Amazon stated. The products are good quality. I'm not having a hip replacement but noticed all these products and seem to be a good price. I ordered because I wanted another reacher as put one in various places throughout my home so I don't have to carry one with me if I happen to drop something. I also purchased the sock aid. This product is the main one I needed as I have much difficulty putting my socks on safely
