Great tent!
So roomy..easy to put up. I love the screened in option for "porch" We use it to store most of our stuff separate from our sleeping area. My favorite part is the see through roof- if you are at the right campsite, the view of stars from your bed is unbelievable.
making easy access for insects

DON'T stake it down first...if you end up with too much tension around the seams they will tear. Definitely need a seam sealer and extra tarps/canopies if you're to experience "weather". We live outside in tents 4-6 months out of the year....this tent replaced our Coleman 8 person instant tent that endured last year's 4 month stint. I'm determined to make this one work for this year as I adore the design and extra space. The door/entrance is really my only issue. Very inconvenient tri-zipper that doesn't "seal closed"....leaves about a half-inch gap, making easy access for insects.
Heres everything you need to know and a safety danger.

I go camping every other weekend and owned many tents used it enough to leave a thorough review.
"¢ It's pretty much impossible to set up by yourself, but can be done easily with a friend in 10-15 minutes.
"¢ Most tents you don't need to use the spikes to anchor it in the ground, but you have to with this one.
I camp in the mountains where the ground is usually made of rock and it's impossible to anchor it down correctly.
"¢ The front entrance is not very tall so you have to bend down every time you want to get in.
I wish the front door was raised higher. I am 5'11" and can stand in the main room without it touching my head, but getting through the door is a pain.
"¢ If you have dogs they can easily push right through the door even when it's zipped all the way. It zips to an upside down T shape and all it takes is a little pressure and they can unzip it themselves just by walking through it. I have a huge lab and he found out how to open it the first night.
They can also open and come through from the outside when it's zipped all the way up which means coyotes or anything else could enter if they wanted. It doesn't make you feel safe when sleeping knowing any animal can come through, which is why I sleep with a pistol by my pillow in this tent.
"¢ I snapped on of the skinny poles the first day, but this isn't the first time I've done this with a tent. When I try to set it up with my 7 year old daughter, it's very hard and I normally break something. Nothing a little duct tape can't fix.
But besides that, this tent is awesome, especially for the price.
Kids love it and it feels like you are sleeping in a hotel outside. It's got a ton of room and didn't leak when it rained.
If you have kids I would say to get this because they will have tons of fun just playing in it.
If you are getting it for yourself or to use with one other person, it's kind of over kill.
Great car camping tent

Just used this for 5 days. Over all on ok car camping tent. I caught it on sale for like 80$, I don't think I would pay the 150+ I have seen it for.

Pros
Lots of room - LOTS
Door separates the two rooms
Windows allow for good ventilation

Cons
It says it has e-ports, none that I could find.
Tricky to set up - now that I understand it it set up quick.
Front door is poor design, the dog can nose out since all three zippers come to a point it allows small ground insects in. I prefer if the zipper is off the ground because if the dog can get a zipper open so can a squirrel or other critter.
This tent is Amazing. It's a portable Cabin more than a Tent!

Wenzel Klondike Tent - 8 Person

This is only the 3rd tent I've ever put up and stayed in in my life so I'm relatively new to camping but the following is my opinion on how well this tent works for a newbie camper like me. I'm still looking for something a bit smaller for backpacking so please feel free to leave me your opinions on some cost effective options. I purchased this one for my family to use, that would be me and my husband (30 something adults) and two teenagers.

I LOVE this tent! having a screened in porch with an attached floor is amazing!!!!!!!! No bugs or frogs in our food! I love the space. This tent is great for summer time due to all the ventilation and mesh and thin walls. I would imagine due to it's size and thin fabric it wouldn't be a good choice for winder time or colder areas.

For setup, I know several said that it was hard to setup but my husband and I did it our first time in 15 minutes and it was relatively easy to do. I can see how it would be difficult with one person because you have to lift the dome part of the bigger/back room up into the air so if you are going to be alone it could be challenge.

Another concern for this tent was that the porch is a good 6 to 8 inches shorter in height than the bedroom. You can fully stand up in the bedroom and move around but I had to bend my head in porch and I'm only 5'4. :-) But the porch is mostly to be used as a storage area and sitting room anyway.

I caught this tent on sale for $120 and it was worth every penny! Even full price at $160 I think it would be worth it.
