Perfect on my 4†solid mantle

I looked at a number of stocking hangers, trying to figure out which if any would work on my 4" solid mantle. These work really well. They WILL work on a flat front/solid mantle of any thickness. The stockings don't stay perfectly in place. Sometimes they turn sideways if they get bumped or whatnot. But these hangers will not damage a mantle or fall and cause injury. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Picture looks like these hangers are a longer length and the description says they are 7 inches. They are really short and did not work from my mantle. If you have a mantle that does not have a ledge that is 1 or 2 inches, then these will not work for you. There is nothing to keep the hangers on the mantle. They are a good quality hook though and the color finish was perfect to blend into my mantle.

These stocking hangers are great if you want to actually be able to hang up your stocking and put something in it :) They're also great if you have a thick mantle and/or a flat front mantle. Our mantle is a solid slab of wood, about 5 inches high and 4 inches deep, and these work. (See photos.) My only complaint is that it is very easy to knock them off.

I purchased these right before Christmas because I needed some inexpensive stocking hangers for my fireplace. I wasn't expecting much but when they arrived I was really pleased! They are just a simple "S" hook and they hang on tight to your fireplace mantle. Trust me - the stockings were stuffed and they didn't move!
They seem to be made of a good quality metal and the finish on them worked great with my other stocking hangers.
If you need an inexpensive solution to hanging stocking by the fireplace with care I think you wouldn't be disappointed with this product. I do give it 5 stars and because they are described as shown in the Amazon post and at the time were in stock on prime and arrived as promised. I do recommend this product if you are in the market.
