I bought this to go to a formal-style destination wedding for which we warned that the Hotel clerk's safe was small & would not hold all 300+ guests' jewelry.
I got this and was very pleased about how well it worked. Key (you get 2) and combo are great. The "wire" is a bit like a bike lock wire and connection.
I hunt this over the metal closet rod, stuck a dress over it, and a few cocktail purses and never gave it another thought. All my jewelry, extra cash, etc.
Since once upon a time I was a hotel maid, I knew it wouldn't even get noticed. And if so by some strange chance, I'd notice---because of how I placed it. You'd have to come back with wire cutters to detach it.

We strung this thru 2 beach chairs as suggested. We put 2 phones, hotel keys, cash and credit card in with ample room left over. It's just a tiny bit too short for a kindle. It was great to wander into the ocean and not have to keep looking back to see if our stuff was still hidden under towels. This is not a safe like what you would find in your hotel room, but someone that is out to steal is going to take something that is easy to take, not haul 2 beach lounges down the beach in order to get access to the contents of the locked box. We are frequent beach vacationers and I am 100% pleased with this purchase. Would definitely buy again and will give as a gift to other vacationers.

Love it, I had seen this advertised elsewhere and doubted if efficacy. Yet for someone like me, I had a specific purpose in mind beyond beach chair safety. I was spinally injured although not paralyzed years ago, so when I go out of the house, or recently when I have strangers doing work in my home, I put my cash and credit cards into it. When I am on my scooter, I find myself vulnerable to theft. So I attach the safe to the front 'tiller' of my scooter. Now I can see it, and it is easy to remove/open when I need to use it. So much more security than a handbag or such gently lying, or even having the cloth of it wrapped around the part of the scooter. That was too easy to cut and run. Only regret I have is not having gotten it in black color, as it would have matched the rest of my scooter so well. Now it stands out in the beautiful cobalt blue. Exchange?

I bought this because we were going on a cruise and were going to be spending a day at a hotel beach in the Bahamas. I wanted somewhere to store a few valuables instead of just leaving them on my beach chair under my towel. This safe worked great. Not Fort Knox but the it definitely makes it much harder for someone to grab your camera or phone. We also live near the beach and it will get lots of use there. The safe is easy to lock and unlock and is well-made. Nicely finished and looks sharp. When I purchased it, I thought it was a little expensive but when I saw the quality of the fit and finish, I felt I got my money's worth. Locking mechanism works smoothly.

We purchased the Safego Portable Lock Box for an upcoming cruise, to use at the pool and on beach excursions. The box will easily hold our cell phones, wallets, sunglasses and sunscreen. The lock box comes beautifully packaged in a high quality display box (if you gave this as a gift people would be impressed!) and comes with instructions, two keys, and a black stretchy wrist coil for the keys. The lock box can be used with the key OR by combination - it's super easy to set your custom 3-digit combination. The lock box is made of high impact plastic and is very sturdy. It comes in four colors; we purchased "Withstand White." Dimensions are 7" wide at the top - about 5-1/2" wide at the bottom - 7-1/2" high, and 4" deep. It weighs about a pound. The adjustable cable is almost 18" long. I plan to pack this in my checked luggage with toiletries inside to maximize my packing space. I can think of SO many instances where this lock box would come in handy -- water parks, amusement parks, my son's college dorm, the pool -- anywhere you want to keep a few essential items safe and keep your hands free!
