I purchased this product as an emergency med kit. All of the items appear to be substantial and appropriate for an emergency. Make sure if you purchase this kit for this reason, you have disinfectant and other items.
I do rec this for a true emergency when unable to get emergency assistance.

Horrible quality. I am a vet student and bought this for dissection but the forceps are so weak that they can't pick anything up, and the blades are so dull that they don't even cut through soft tissue. I should have just spent more money and invested in a higher-quality product.

First off, I am VERY picky. When I am ready to buy something, I do research, sometimes for hours, used to drive my wife nuts, but it always paid off in the end. I only want to buy an item once. So, when I needed a kit like this for emergency reasons I read everything they had on the Amazon page for this set. Then I started reading a few medical books to see what the pros use (Doctors and vets) and I looked at about 15 sets of these tools from different makers on different sites. After all that work I felt at ease buying this set. It arrived in two days via UPS as promised. I opened it up and, as I always do, I tried to find a reason to dislike it and send it back. I took out each tool and tested it for quality and strength. I have to say I could not find one problem with this set. For the cost, I expected to have to replace a few pieces to a more expensive piece, but each tool is perfect! I'm paralyzed from the waist down and have been for almost 26 years now and I have no health insurance. That means I cannot just run to a doctor or the emergency room every time I have a medical issue. I bought this set to lance an abscess that my Primary doctor, who I pay $100 a month to see, refused to take care of. I did research online, bought all the medical stuff I needed from Amazon and a few other medical supply sites and took care of it myself (lucky for me it was below my feeling equator as I call it so there was no pain). In 10 mins. I was done. I threw out the used scalpel blade, this set came with 5-6 blades, and cleaned the rest of the tools. I would happily buy this set again if I lost this one. Bravo on a fine set of tool. This set would be great in your first aid kit or prepper kit. I rate it a 10/10. I did NOT get it for free and the company did not pay me for feedback, this is just my honest opinion on their set. Regards.

My significant other got hurt very badly. We had to make do with a few random things we had in order to suture him up, though it was difficult without the proper tools. Which is what made me buy this product. It's great quality, as well as affordable . It's everything you need in one small package!! Perfect!

A reasonable good set of Academic/Lab medical tools. I wouldn't describe them as professional grade, however they appear to be very well made and should proved to be more than adequate for most purposes.
