It is very well made, and sturdy enough to hold a "full" can of garbage when extended. It also fits a wide variety of can sizes, including our 10-gal kitchen bin. I tried it with a 13-gal can, and it fits perfectly, but that can size was slightly too tall for our cabinet. It also will hold two, smaller cans, sideways (side-by-side), so you can have a bin for trash and a bin for recyclables, if you so choose?
My only complaint is that I had to modify my cabinet to make this work. The slide/drawer requires the shelf to be flush with the opening of the cabinet. Ours have a "lip" of roughly 1/2", which required me to cut two pieces of 1/2" pine to "lift" the unit above the lip on the front of the shelf. Nothing in the description said the unit would require modification, but if I had looked closely at the pictures, I would have seen it before attempting to install. It is not a huge deal, as I have plenty of scrap-wood in my workshop, and the modification took an extra 15 min out of my day... but it would have been nice to simply bolt it in and go :)

I need a trash pullout but because of the pipes in the back, the cabinet maker's version isnt possible. This after market product fits the bill. I only gave it .75" allowance at the door side but the tray doesnt hit the door when pulled. The two small bins (separate purchase from Amazon) are good fit. The leftover narrow plywood shelf also fits the tray perfectly in width and length. It gives the bins much needed stability. I did the installation myself. It wasnt the easiest but wasn't too difficult.
For reference the cabinet is 24" wide. It is possible to install two of these side by side with enough clearance on both sides.
