Very nice marking guage

Very well made super sharp point that is not flimsy, After I refined the edge & honed it.I was able too mark out my dovetails in hard maple with no problem, The handle is made well & comfortable Very nice for the money..

Attractive design, with faceted handle (8 sides) that won't roll off the bench. Appears to be a well built and very solidly put together. Scribes a very fine line right out of the box without any touch-up of the blade needed beforehand. Seems to be properly heat treated (carbide scriber won't mark the blade). Came in a sturdy cardboard box very reminiscent of a CRKT knife. Inside the box, the blade was wrapped and taped into a protective paper sleeve. The sleeve had two small bloodstains on it, so I am assuming some Customs Officer thoughtfully baptized the blade for me! Heh!

This knife has been perfect for marking dovetails, and I feel obligated to rate it for other Amazon purchasers, but I am not an expert. The Narex dovetail knife, by contrast, does not work for me but it may be my usage pattern so I did not rate it.
