This is a unique design and concept, but not really practical in reality. I'm not sure why I thought it would be more insulated when the liquid was hot; it's obviously ceramic. As a result it's too hot to put your fingers in the "warmer" at first, making it a little awkward to hold. HOWEVER, it's an interesting design, and I think more peole purchase it for the novelty and beauty of it rather than for the hand warming properties.

This is a really pretty piece. Keep coffee warm for a little while longer then normal mug. The wall where your fingertips touch when you put them in the handle is quite thin though and often too hot to hold them there when you pour fresh hot coffee in it. It does break if it falls on the counter from a cabinet, FYI. Had to replace it when my roommate broke it haha

I was initially impressed with how quickly I received the product, then I appreciated how carefully packaged it was when I received it! Finally, the product itself is beautiful! I bought these for my in-laws but now know I'll be buying a pair for me and my husband! Very happy customer! Thanks!

I purchased this mug because the previous one I owned that was given to me cracked and was leaking (and I never dropped the mug). I love the style and design on these Clay in Motion mugs so I decided to buy one. I use this mug mainly for drinking water (not for hot drinks). I have only owned the mug for 2 weeks -- unfortunately now I'm starting to see cracks on the exterior of the mug (same as what the other reviewer said). It doesn't look good and I'm afraid this mug won't last long if the cracks continue to multiply everyday - eventually this will crack start to leak (like my previous one that I owned that was given to me). Too bad and what a shame, it's a pretty mug but looks like it's cheaply made. Hence I give it 3 stars. (I'm attaching 2 photos here with visible cracks.)

Huge mug... holds a lot of coffee... easy to chip the handle if you are not careful how you store them.More of a novelty item when you happen to be freezing cold, rather than an everyday mug you want to use regularly. But the artistic style makes you overlook the utility factor. It's a beautiful mug. Just don't try to use it in your cupholders in the car. or ever set it on fine furniture. The color is OK but I like the Brown with Green glaze best.
