Used them elk hunting, they are OK, cheaper than other brands.

1 bag of Food is a lot for 1 person, we full after a meal. I like the riddles on bag.
Decent but not outstanding; Easy to puncture the pouches.

Having tried 8 different brands of freeze dried food, I would consider this one as middle of the road.
Flavor overall is good, but there is a tendency to be a bit on the bland side, so having a few spices to add always helps. As with most freeze dried food, the pouches with higher amounts of dairy can cause digestive issues if you are sensitive to dairy.
Price is very reasonable for what you get, as long as you aren't expecting 5-star cuisine.
I don't care for the style of pouch. I punctured several of the pouches just trying to mix the water. (I'm talking a few drops, not everything-leaks-out tear.). This could easily be fixed with a more substantial edge seal from the manufacturer.
I would buy again, but likely as a way to mix in some variety with other (what I would consider) higher quality items.

A good cache.

Just enough for a short emergency.
Try out your food and gear! Great to replace the food in the 5-day backpack.

When I ordered the Wise 5 day backpack I took it outside and tried it out, and started eating the food over a period of 6 years. I bought this food pack to put back in the backpack. It's perfect for that. I just started using the whey milk from it today, both on some granola I had and in coffee. It's much better than non-fat milk and both were tasty with the whey milk in it. I used 2 TBLS for 3/4 cup and like that better. This food pack is better because you can put the water right into the package and seal it to rehydrate. I like it as much as Mountain House to tell you the truth. I plan to continue to eat the Wise foods from time to time so they don't get too old.
Pretty good

Took them on vacation when we didn't know how expensive eating out would be.
Lightweight in luggage.
They can be eaten as is, or supplemented with whatever noodles, rice, quinoa you want to bring along, or add local stuff.
A good base to start with or eat on its own.
