Very thin envelopes and the seals are not great. It does seal, but they don't seem sturdy and we feel the need to add tape. I would look for another envelope, but wouldn't not buy these again if I couldn't find 1 that is thicker/sturdier.
Lower quality causes printer jams

I had bought these for years at Costco, but when my local store either stopped carrying this brand or were sold out I bought it here. Same brand. Same packaging. Exactly the same box. The outside packaging is the same but the envelopes inside are slightly different. They seem thinner and lighter. While I printed thousands in my laser printer without a jam before, these envelopes tend to stick together a bit and collapse when going through the printer. Whatever change the manufacturer did was not a change for the better.
One flaw: when stuffing, time is wasted when inserted paper is not inside completely (see picture)

Just one flaw, but for me it is a big one. When I open up the envelope and go to insert contents, a gap opens up where the glue sealing the edges to the backside does not go all the way up to top and thus the paper slip I go to insert often goes above the side edge instead of under it, completely inside the envelope. This slows me down when stuffing the envelope since 8.5 inch wide paper slip won't fit when this happens. See the red arrow in picture pointing to where the backside is separating from the side fold due to glue not running all the way to the top.
If it were not for this flaw, I would give 5 star rating. I have not tested other envelopes, so perhaps this is an issue with almost all envelopes?
Note they do include security printing and have a peel strip to seal them unlike what some of the reviews claim.

Less expensive than our local big box store and delivered in 48 hours. The peel-off strip eliminates licking and makes mailing a breeze. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
