It is perfectly perfect, just a little whipped.

This is high quality shea butter. Of course, shea butter is very thick which is why most people mix other products in with it. It helps to let it warm up in your hands before applying. I still like to mix it with a bit of Argan, jojoba, or almond oil and a few drops of essential oil. I also like to use it alone when I am craving some simplicity. However you decide to use it, I think you will be happy with this.
Just remember, it is not "whipped and light" because shea butter is not light. That's how nature intended. It's just whipped, making it easier to apply raw. It is s wonderful moisturizer for those tough dry areas (elbows/knees/heels).
It does just as good of or better of a job at moisturizing than all that toxic moisturizing garbage you find at the drugstore. Plus you can customize your own scent each time you use it with a few drops of EO's. Very satisfied with my purchase. Would recommend

This is WONDERFUL. My first purchase of this product, but not my first of Shea Butter. I never had the opportunity to try whipped Shea Butter, and definitely never have tried Lavender Whipped African Shea butter from Rise 'N' Shine. I will be a long time customer of this product and seller, now that I have used it. It is so luxuriously smooth and easier to apply to my skin than the stiffer Shea Butters that are used for melting and adding to shampoos, etc.
The generous sized jar makes for easy application. Just a perfect hint of Lavender oil scent makes for a refreshing feel on your skin. This will be my nightly facial cream for sure.
Rise 'N'Shine has great customer feedback via email to make sure I am a satisfied customer, and I am!

I love this stuff! I put it on my feet at night with socks about an hour before I go to bed (most nights) and it soaks right in.. I also use it on my face a couple times a week, my skin loves it! Unlike some other brands of shea butter, this one does not have a funky scent to it and although it is whipped, it does have a stiff consistency to it but it warms quickly between your hands on and leaves your skin feeling silky and not greasy at all. 100% natural, doesn't get better!

I am loving this shea butter. I am a senior with thin and dry skin. When I apply this butter after my shower to hands, arms and legs, my skin is soft and moisturized all day, I looks much better. I saw my dermatologist and she touched my arm and said ,"Your skin is nicely hydrated." Is it a coincidence that I have less bruising on my arms? Not sure but that is my experience after starting with this shea butter.
The fragrance is very light and will not interfere if you want to use another scent in addition, I just get some butter in my hands, rub my palms together to soften and pat in place. I then go back and distribute more evenly. Love it!

It grew on me!

Edit: I originally dinged the stars for weak lavender scent, but as I got deeper into the pot, I think the fragrance intensified and think I even saw little purple bits in the shea butter. After using this for a while, I realized the lavender scent was perfect and it's my favorite. Friends and family have used mine and purchased their own.
Original review: I have been using Alaffia handcrafted shea butter on my hands, which crack and bleed during dry winters, and I use it on my children's hands and cheeks (including the baby- pediatrician recommended Vaseline, but I went with a more natural choice). I was excited to try a whipped, scented product, as the Alaffia has a pretty wretched smell and is hard to even get out of the jar, much less spread around on the skin, in the cold winter weather.
* The whipped consistency DOES make it easier to get out of the jar and spread. Not as smooth as your typical mass-market lotion or cream, but better than non-whipped shea butter.
* The shea butter scent is less overpowering than Alaffia, in my opinion. However...
* The lavender scent fades to nothing fairly quickly, so it's not like a lotion whose scent you will be enjoying throughout the day. After a few minutes, you just smell like shea butter. You'd better just get used to the smell of shea butter!
