My second one, better than the first!

This is my second bowl by Jay and I love them both! the texture on the outside bottom reduced slippage and the raised edges on the inside make for great fluffy lathering.

I bought this for my husband. He doesn't use it right now since he now has a beard now. This is a beautiful bowl and don't mind at all having it on the bathroom counter. I have just left it there even though he isn't using it right now because it is beautiful. I love the blue color and it is well made. It has ridges in the bottom to help get up a lather. The only problem is when my husband didn't use up the lather there is no cover for it.
Regular size seemed small, large size seemed big

The regular size shaving bowl I ordered turned out to be surprisingly small, 3 3/4 inches inside diameter, and 1 7/8 inches deep, more like a mug than a bowl. So I ordered the large size to see if I'd like it better.
And I found the large bowl too big. It's inside diameter was 4 5/8 inches and the depth was 2 1/8 inches, almost soup bowl size.
I kept the regular size bowl and returned the larger size. I've used it a few months now and I can't complain. I love the way it looks, a dark blue glaze swirled with medium blue and dusted with a few specks of rust-red. It works great and it's very inexpensive for hand-made pottery.
A big improvement over the Kermit the Frog cereal bowl I was using.

Gift for my son who enjoys special brush shaving. He was blown away with this beautiful hand made artisan piece that came with an individual note from the sculptor, Jay. The color is a deep gorgeous blue, my choice but he loved it too. They live in Europe so his wife got him a good brush from there to go with this bowl. We would all definitely recommend and purchase from this good quality business again.

I just received this shaving bowl 2 days ago and absolutely love it. The swirl in the bottom of the bowl helps make a thick lather very quickly. And I mean quickly. You load your brush and just after a couple of swirls, the lather just seems to explode. Wish I had this bowl years ago. I use an Omega boar bristle brush and the bristles are pretty long and although this bowl is not horribly small my Omega is a little too big for this bowl. I'm supposed to receive my Perfecto badger hair brush tomorrow and the reviews I've read on that should be perfect for my needs. I absolutely recommend this bowl and I would buy it again if, God forbid, something happened to mine.
