Excellent design very durable, very easy to use, perfect scratcher through cloths or bare skin and works better than human nails because you control how hard or soft to tackle the most annoying mid back or itches that are usually hard to reach with out help. I have a chronically itchy spot mid-back about where the scapula ends. Yep, I'm old and stiff and no longer able to contort myself so that I can reach that spot. I initially bought this back scratcher because I could not locate a decent back scratcher to help get down to my lower back or wherever I needed to be scratched. Once I received this package, I opened it and the scratcher is inside of a nice box. The actual claw is nicely sculpted and it feels like a nice steady durable material which should not easily break and last for quite some time. The scratcher extends pretty good and long, and its compact to fit inside of a small bag including a purse for the women out there. The scratcher is effective on bare skin and also through clothing. I actually just purchased 3 more of these to pass them down as gifts for Mother's Day because the women out there need these type of small thoughtful gifts/tokens for the job that they do on a daily basis coming from a man whom appreciate them and all the wonderful women out there!!!

When the wifes away me and this Bear Claw will play. I feel dirty when my wife is gone and I pull this out, it's like I'm doing something wrong, it just feels so good. She caught me once and was so upset I found a replacement for her and I told her it would never happen again, but it did. This thing is wonderful, the amount of sharpness is perfect it scratches just the right amount.

There are some spots I just can't reach to scratch and sometimes can't improvise with a door or corner or some other makeshift tool. This does the job and the telescoping feature means it can be stored in a small space and its length can be adjusted to meet the occasion. Made well and nice looking, too.
