Interconnect should be both ways.

In and out for the interconnect only goes one way. So my hard wire was on the left and my next light was on the right of this unit but the right side of this unit was an input so I had to pull the hardwire to the next light and then run the interconnect cable from the left of that to the right of this one.
attractive low profile and casts a cool white light

I am replacing old fluorescent under-cabinet lighting that are hardwired. I think Hamilton Bowes product is well made, attractive low profile and casts a cool white light. There is minimal heat generated from the lamps even after hours and hour of being left on;The fluorescent got very hot.
A convenient feature are the push connectors when hardwiring. If there is an improvement that Hamilton Bowes could make is the way they perforate the the electrical knockouts. I found it very hard to knockout. I have five more of these lights to install and will have to drill-out the knockouts. I will purchase a Step Drill Bit to achieve a proper knockout on the existing HB fixtures were appropriate line pigtails are located for my reinstallation areas. Other than that I would give this product a Five star rating ISO 4.
Step drill bit recommended: TEMO M35 cobalt 9 size double flute step drill 3/8" shank 1/4" to 3/4" 2E1

Hardwire issue

Built in connectors would not accept existing 12 gauge wiring. I clipped off the connectors and used wire nuts. Length of wire harness was too short. I opened up the unit and clipped a pull-tie and was then able to get the wires extended. Captive screws made installing the light easy because the mounting screws were sharply pointed. Excellent feature. Replaced an 11" flourescent fixture. Equivalent light output and nice quality. I did not notice any difference between the high and low switch settings.
Great lite

Installed 6 undercounter LEDs 18's and 24's needed two more for 10" cabinet.the brand I installed did not make one small enough.i searched and found these lites at Amazon..I wish I found this brand at first . The quality is great and much easier to install.also has two intensity settings.High and low. also dimmiable.the bronze color is much more appealing.Overall a great lite.only thing I didn't like was only one knockout and only one3/8 stress relief clamp on rear. Still this lite is worthy of FIVE stars!!!!.
Outstanding lights, but don't use LUTRON switches

I am extremely happy with the Hamilton Bowes under-counter dim-able LED lights. Light weight, easy to install, and the wiring between cabinets very easy. They have made a tremendous difference in making the kitchen seeming bigger. I replaced halogen lights that always created too much heat in the cabinets.
Only issue I have with the lights has nothing to do with Hamilton Bowes. The Lutron MAESTRO dimmer switch I purchased to control the LED lights continues to put out about 0.15 amps of current to the light circuit when turned OFF. This is enough to cause the string (about 60 watt total lights) of super efficient Hamilton Bowes lights to remain dimly lit. It actually is fine as it acts as a low level night-light for the kitchen. However, to people buying the Hamilton Bowes lights, I recommend getting a dimmer control other than LUTRON.
