Too easy!!! I already had cat5 hardwired in my house. Wanted to see cameras on a tv in a different room. Instead of crawling through the attic I just added jumpers and these boxes and had the HDMI extended into the other room. Well worth the money and time it saved me.
After only 2 months of use it stopped working!

After only 2 months of use it's out! I've tried every trick in the book to try and get it to work (reset, unplug this, unplug that, etc.) I can't find any warranty contact information -- in on their website either (awful!). I should have known better. Don't buy this!

Just what I needed.. Love it, needed it for a security system. I needed to show it on another screen. The security system has both vga and hdmi and they work at the same time. I use the vga to connect to my monitor and the hdmi to send to a downstairs monitor. Works great, love it..

I own and operate an electronics installation company. My main installs are audio/video and surveillance equipment. I have purchased several of these extenders with majority of them not working at 1080p. I have had 3 actually transmit at 1080p while the other 4 would only work if I decreased the resolution to 720p and one of them did not work at all. I have tested the 4 that would only transmit at 720p with many different patch cables at varying lengths including a short 1 foot cable and still they would not transmit 1080p. It would flicker the monitor and that was it. Once the resolution was lowered to 720p it would display just fine. And yes, it was a 1080p monitor as it displayed 1080p just fine when plugged directly in to the HDMI cord. Unfortunately I am past my return date so I have to just take a loss on them. I gave it 2 stars cause majority of them did work when the resolution was lowered but they do not work at the advertised resolution.

This transmitter/receiver pair works reliably and is a great value. I installed the transmitter to one of the 4 output ports on an HDMI splitter and connected it via CAT5 cable to the receiver (and a 55" monitor) at a distance of about 75 feet. It works flawlessly, even when other monitors are disconnected or connected. It may take a few seconds to negotiate new HDMI connections, but there has never been a failure.
