Not so easy as it comes from England and would take some ...

Purchased this a few months ago and just installed it. Followed all directions which are written in Ancient Sumarian. My coop door weighs 1.6 lbs, so well within the unit's "tolerance". After finally figuring it out, and on its third attempt at opening, the door came crashing down and the entire spool of "string" came with it. I figured, no big deal, I will just rewind it. Wrong, as it had apparently broke. Next step, get a replacement string. Not so easy as it comes from England and would take some time to arrive. In addition, the instructions to replace the string is equally as unhelpful as the initial installation. So now I keep the unit attached to the coop for looks. I keep the door open all the time, which is contrary to the reason I purchased this thing to begin with. Should have purchased another unit, which appears to be less flimsy.
If you have somewhere to go, or just want to be lazy, order it

It's awesome, easy to set up, and works great. Made some brackets for the door I made out of a cutting board and hooked it all up. Took maybe an hour for everything, including making my own brackets and door. Very simple and works great! I have had it 2 months now, give or take, and the battery indicator still says it has full batteries. I will be buying another when and if this one goes out. Well worth the money.

The coop door opener/closer based on light works flawlessly! My coop door is wider/taller than the doors offered for sale, so I had to build my own. Titan does not require a purchase of their door for the warranty to be valid, so I gave their product a try. It is installed inside a coop with windows and works very, very well. A good value and easy to install.
Time saver, if you want to stay in bed a few more minutes get this to open the coop door!

A little expensive but it does save a lot of effort. I use the timer feature and every day the door opens and closes like clock work. The rooster is happy and I don't get chased every morning. Win, win, win!

I bought this and shortly after I started using it it stopped working, It would raise the door but would not lower it. I returned my first purchase and ordered another. This one had the same problem. I decided I would attach a small amount of sheet metal (maybe 2 ounces). It worked well for a month or two then the same problem occured. The batteries were new when I got the second unit and I thought maybe they had run down (in two months). I switched to brand new batteries and it worked for about 3 weeks and now I have the same problem. It's better to have to go out in the dark and cold to open and close the main door than not know if your chickens will be able to get in or out of the coop.
