The lock pins jammed up after a few months. I was a little forceful with the key, but thats cuz it was sticking a lot due to getting wet. I commute/work on my bike in all kinds of weather and I would hope a lock would not become so finicky from a little water. I live in a swamp in Florida for crying out loud! Bell was nice enough to send me a new lock after the original busted, but I was already done with their product, so I sold the new lock to someone else. My Master lock has been going strong for 1.5 years now and never fails me. I bought this as a second for some extra protection against theft(locking both wheels), but I realized the extra time it takes to lock two wheels and experience with this lock made me decide to stick to my trusty Master Lock.
Broke after using twice.

Had it one month and two days, used it twice and now the bar is stuck in lock position no matter how much we mess with it. We missed the return window by two days. Would definitely NOT buy again.

Just received this product. Biggest issue noticed almost immediately is the lock mechanism gets stuck when turning the key to lock and unlock. Also build quality is extremely poor. Plastic skin over the lock is flimsy and deformed, feels like it will disintegrate very soon. The mount that holds the lock to the bike frame when not in use is also very cheap quality. The lock jiggles when secured to the mount.

For the low price, it does the job, but within a few weeks, exposed metal parts started to rust. The part that attaches the lock to the bike frame broke after about a month and a half. The lock itself has a cover that tends to slide off and make it hard to lock/unlock this thing. It still 'works' but is kinda rusty, and not working as well as I would have expected. Would suggest looking at other options.

I've had this lock for a year, and it worked great (loved the size, function, etc) until today when my bike was stolen. I had my bike locked to a secure metal post with this U-lock and cable lock. Obviously, it didn't work. Not sure how the thief got through it.
Like another reviewer said, it works as a deterrent, but get a different lock if you actually want to secure your bike. Or just store you bike inside.
