Neat little meter, does everything I want

I bought this DMM because it was a good price on a cheap meter that had a good rating. I read the specs and it sounded like it would do what I needed. It arived on time and is easy to use. One of the features that I got this meter for was testing frequency. (Hz)
BUT, when I tried to check my household outlet I got a strange reading. I contacted Proster and explained the issue and they happily offered to replace it at no cost to me and apologized.
The replacement had the same results. So after several emails with different people I was told that voltage and frequency readings are for low voltage only! (a note at the bottom of one of the discriptions on Amazon I found later) That is not stated in the owners manual anywhere! Household voltage and everything else so far works fine.

Auto-ranging is fast. Agree with another reviewer though, they should have the continuity check as the first option, not having to rotate to it, and hit 'option'. Not that bad though.

I bought two of these. The first one was a gift the second one because I liked it so much for the price I figured it would be good to have around boat or car. I am not sure of the accuracy as I have only done minor tests so far and it seems to be good within specified ranges. I would not have bought this without first seeing the review and tear down of it on youtube. [...] I got a peek on the inside before I bought it. It seems well built for the price and has useful features.
One warning I did pay for one day service for the present and didn't get it on the first one. On the second one I got my regular Prime service and that came one day late also

My first digital multimeter I bought through Amazon and so far it is working good, performs well and, unlike similar lower quality and brand names, it is well built and sturdy given the price that I paid - even better than the more pricier ones I've seen at Radio Shack. Granted that this is not the top popular brand like Fluke's measuring devices pros use, I would probably recommend this for someone entering the electrical or other technical field where taking voltage or resistance measurement is a must. I have not used it long enough yet, let alone dropped it a few times, to determine its ruggedness but this is backed up with an 18-month warranty, which gives me the impression that this is a good product. Bottom line, I'm impressed with this pocket digital multimeter.
