This is updated review of the onion slicer/holder. After quite a few interactions with this company I learned that I was using this tool incorrectly. It only needs to stabilize the onion (or any other fruit/veg that needs uniform sliced) to be effective. Once I tried it that way I had no issues.
I recommend this product and this company. And this was an actual certified purchase!

It was difficult to get the pointy slicer into the very hard onion. Once it was in, the slices were even. But the a fight to remove it from what was left of the onion was dangerous because I had to pull it from the onion with a heavy hand. Slices weren't worth the effort.
