Generally, we like it. However, it is not as long as some, so it does not have as good leverage for embossing thicker paper. Works fine for thin paper.

I purchased this embosser a novel birthday gift (pun intended) for an individual who loves books almost as much as I do. Opening a book cover to see the subtle embossed monogram/name of the owner is a throwback to when most people actually knew the definition of ex libris! I liked it enough to order a second one for myself. t's the perfect gift for any reader of actual paper books & a must for those who lend books to others (& want them back). This embosser is a good value and works well. Takes a bit of practice to get even & consistent results but what doesn't!? Excellent quality & classic design - highly recommended.
