I've not put them under load yet, but they look more than up to the job of holding two 5 gallon home depot buckets full of water for chickens.

Works great for a gallon can and as a bucket tool carrier/holder - but, as others have posted, don't know if I'd trust it with a 5 gallon pail full of paint 20+ feet up.

I resisted buying this until I'd tried other ways of hooking a can of paint or stripper on a ladder. This seemed to be over-engineered and complex, but I can attest it is a vast improvement. The locking mechanism swivels to put the can bail in then hold it securely, and the silicone over hard plastic makes it comfortable to carry the can up a ladder and to move it from rung to rung.
Probably works better with buckets that have longer loops

Tilts the 1 gallon paint bucket at an angle. Not enough clearance to keep the bucket straight. You may spill your paint if the container is full. Probably works better with buckets that have longer loops.
