I love these bags.... 1,001 uses for them!!!

I love these bags. The inside fold down bottom is so great as it distributes the weight of what you put in the bag. Almost every check out register person comments about how impressed they are with these bags as they stay open and are easy to put things into them. They can hold so much that they can become quite heavy (AND the carrrying strap stitches have never started coming undone). I also use them to transport books, tools, & find them useful to carry anything I need to get from Point A to Point B!!!! Only con might be if you use them for groceries and get meat/poultry juice etc. on them. They are cloth and can be washed by hand but aren't able to be tossed into the washer.... due to the interior fold down bottom.
Large, strong and free standing. Store clerks love them. I love them. Also, if you do pull a strap off, it is easily repairable.

Re: Strength:
The handles are very strong and as a test, I purposefully added wine, V8 and other liquids to make it as heavy as I could with grocery items. The handles held fine. That said, one time, I dropped a heavy bag off a tailgate and tried to catch it. I snagged one handle. The combination of the shock of the sudden jerk on only one handle and the fact that the handle was pulling straight away from the bag, versus vertically like normal, was too much and the handle came off. I did not feel this was the bags fault, That is about as severe a circumstance as reasonable. But the good news is that there is an easy fix. There is a plastic piece on the inside and four tabs stick through from the outside. If you somehow pull a handle off, put the tabs back through the bag, put the plastic piece in place, then tap with a hammer and pop the tabs back into the plastic holder. Good as new!

Re Size:
I didn't think three bags would be enough. But three bags hold the nearly a full grocery cart. A 3/4 full grocery cart easily fits in three. If my grocery cart is completely full, then three is not quite enough. I don't think you could put enough groceries in a cart to fill more than four bags.

I was looking for containers that would not fall over in the back of my car. These are amazing! I got 6 and make sure I have an empty one to give cashier to start the checking out process. She said she wished everyone had these!

Purchased these in my search for durable shopping bag and am not disappointed. The bags have two solid cardboard sides and a solid, movable bottom panel, which allows for the bags to be stored flat. Well worth the cost.

And, per the attached tag, DO NOT CARRY YOUR CHILDREN IN THESE BAGS! Consider yourself warned.
Crisp, hard, yeah.

My city doesn't allow plastic bags, so I was always purchasing paper. I could have used those floppy, cloth bags, but they are all different sizes and look stupid. I've got a rep to maintain. These bags have swag. I walk in the store like a boss with these briefcase shaped things under my arm and heads are whipping in my direction. I don't even look for a plastic basket anymore, I just pop one of these bad boys open and start filling it with product. People know I'm not stealing because I must be rich with bags like these. Once I get to the cashier and hand her these bags, all that's left to do is reach over the belt and gently raise her chin to keep it from hitting the ground.
