My first adventure with tagine.
Soaked, baked at 300 for two hours, cooled and oiled. Cooked chicken tagine with carsmelized pears on diffuser. Pictures speak for themselves. Delicious.
I just wish the seller recommended seasoning as I did, to help others use this tagine successfully.

Love it. I seasoned it and used it the next day to make an amazing lamb and date tagine. It is authentic, and the hole at the top is there to seal the top to the base when it's cooking. I use a diffuser and cook on low heat. When adding liquid to a hot tagine be sure the liquid is already hot. I plan on making another tagine this weekend.
Its bigger than the tagines you normally get

I have a smaller tagine and I love it. However, this tagine is much larger which makes it great for larger dinner parties. The value is good given the price. This is what they used for centuries. I would agree with the other purchasers to make sure that you season the bottom properly before the first use. It will save a lot of trouble.
