All six (6) "Hurricane Candle Holder, Glass Chimney" arrived on time and intact. Very well packaged. They are exactly 9 and 13/16 inches tall and the outside diameter is 3 and 13/16 inches wide. The glass chimney is open at both ends. They work very well for me with 3" x 6" pillar candles which are set on a separately purchased metal base plate.

These are a bit too lightweight to stay balanced. A lit candle.. this tilts and **poof**.. flames on a tablecloth!! YIKES!!
My favorite guy took a 1"x4", ripped down to 1x3". Wide bore bit the same size as the diameter of the glass flutes. So far it's worked. I still make sure they're out before I leave the room.

Love these! Just what I need. I'm hoping to let others know what I use these for in case it may help someone without grossing anyone out. Due to a previous resident in my apartment building the building is infested with roaches. No amount of pest control helps. To keep the disgusting things off my toothbrush I use one of these glass covers, put tulle over the top with a rubber band and set it over the toothbrush on the counter. Since the glass is smooth on the bottom and the top is covered no roaches can get in there. It probably wouldn't be very safe in a household with children. In case you're wondering I only put up with this because I can't afford to live in a nicer apartment.
